Description

The BARTEC VODEC Interface port carries termination of the following:

• VAP01 access unit
• Supervisory fault report contact output
• Entertainment muting contact
• Auxiliary audio source inputs
• Auto alarm initiation inputs

The unit provides interface between the BARTEC VODEC VX/AT switch and external network field cabling by converting conventional cable connectivity to flat insulation displacement ribbon cable suitable for direct termination to the host management system.

The unit is designed for snap in/off industry standard DIN rail mounting and comprises of a robust glass fibre printed circuit card which is equipped with VX/AT connectivity harness and input/output terminals. The BARTEC VODEC interface port includes gas discharge tube lightning protection on each individual input thereby assuring highest system reliability in the most arduous of operating environments. Terminals accept a range of conductor sizes up to a maximum of 2.5 mm? cross sectional area.
